Due to forseeable protests from its closest neighbours, South Korea and China, Japanese prime minister Shi had not visited Yasukuni Shrine in 2016.
Yasukuni Shrine ,as claimed on its official website, has the honour to worship the dead that sacrifices themselves to protect Japan.
The moral question is "can individuals committing sins against humanity, in this context Asians, be considered heroes and do these individuals commiting beastly acts deserve a place in a national shrine?"
